The most appropriate time for practicing Yoga is in the morning, before breakfast. This is because it is the time, when our mind is calm, composed and fresh and the body movements can be performed, with considerable ease and vigor.

Thank you for your input. In an ideal world morning might well be the best time to practice yoga and I know I truly enjoy those early practices.
That said, I fit my practice in when I can and that sometimes means lunchtime, other days right before dinner and some nights I do it before hitting the hay.
The most important thing is to make it to the mat, whatever time works well for you :)
